Dab of This and That

Don't know about anyone else, but I have had enough Winter for the year. View while drinking Saturday morning coffee.

I guess I could have gotten out and taken better pictures, so you could see what it really looked like, but IT WAS TO COLD ! ! Actually, it looked worse later because everything was covered in ice. The trees were pretty, but it is so dangerous. I did not lose power, but some in the area were not as fortunate. What melts today will refreeze tonight as it will be in the teens. So much for the weather report! :-)
Don't know about you, but I can get a lot of mileage out of a rotisserie chicken.

Hope no one was expecting to see a home cooked chicken, straight out of the oven with a wonderful recipe to follow. :-D Not when they were $4.99, and someone else did the work!
When I did my "PreSnow" grocery shopping, I bought one and it has been the base for lunch and dinner for 3 meals now, so I will use the last of it today to make soup, or chicken and noodles, or how about a chicken casserole. Chicken salad sounds good, but I want hot food these days.
The pineapple is not hot, but it sure has been good. Buying fresh pineapple can be a gamble sometimes, but this one was so sweet - delicious.
Don't know what I thought I could accomplish with that little knife.

Much better -

Like the title said, just a Dab of This and That.
Now off to see what I can make out of the rest of the chicken. :-)
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend, regardless of what the weather is like in your part of the world.

Thanks for visiting this week! I use those rotisserie chickens all the time. My husband loves when I make chicken salad and add some herb de provence....they are sure worth it!

I often use a rotisserie chicken. My dad loved them and I bet he could eat one a day! I tried and tried to make them.
Those precious pansies are making a statement aren't they. They are fighting against the cold. :)

It is very cold here with light snow falling. Your snow is beautiful but I am so ready for spring!
Isn't it amazing what you can do with a rotisserie chicken :) They are the best.
Stay warm!

Roasted Chicken from Costco is my favorite. I've even been known to serve it to guests. At $4.99 it doesn't even pay to buy and cook a chicken.

We've been blessed with a very mild winter. We earned it after our record breaking snowfall last year. I'll be out working in the next few weeks. Dormant spray, tree pruning, manure hauling - here I come!!

Those roasted chickens are delicious and a great price. And add fresh pineapple.... yum!

Also like the birdcage with the grape bunch on top for your Show & Tell Very nice!

Always so nice visiting with you!

I thought about chicken salad too today. I'm like you, and opting for the warm dishes.

I agree with you about winter! The Pineapple looks tasty and so is the chicken. I think I am going to try this chicken.

Three days worth of meals from one little chicken? My gosh you really worked that bird over! LOL!

It's terribly cold here too. Just bone chilling. I hate it. Looks like most of our week will be very cold.

Ah yes, Pineapple. My girls and I like it very much, as long as it's not over ripe. Glad you bought a good one!

Oh Glenda, that pineapple looks so yummy. I love pineapple and after seeing your picture, I want some now. It's cold here too but nothing compared to what you have. Try to keep warm...Christine

Hi Glenda, I enjoyed your comment at my blog, Junkblossoms! This is much worse than when I took the picture and wrote the entry. We too have ice. We tried to get out today and it took the help of the neighbor to get out of our driveway. The roads were all ice so we turned around and came home. Church is canceled tomorrow. I will remember this long into next winter and will be better prepared then. lol. Thanks for visiting. Come back soon.

I hear you! The fact that you still have a pot of pansies outside blows me away.

I love your garden wall! Dinner looks pretty tasty too ;)
