Just a Dab of This and That

Photobucket

Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch is having an impromptu party about 20+ things you can't live without. Here are a few of mine, many are some of the same of hers.
ETA: #1 Item "My computer"
Scissors in almost every room.
Protector Pads for furniture and decorative items
Flashlights in every room (power outages common here)
Timers
Goo Gone (saved many a day)
Magic erasers
Shout
Sticky notes/index cards/paper clips (worked in an office to long)
Wood markers
Extra measuring tape - only my extra retractable one is in my purse. :D
Leveler (have 2)
Night lights in both bathrooms
2 vacuum cleaners - one on each level (real back saver)
Hair Rinse (like some shades of grey on the walls - not my hair) :-D

I am sure there are many others - just can't think of them right now. Thanks Susan for hosting this fun impromptu party.
Be sure and go visit Susan to see what she and others have to share.

Went back to DT this week to buy more of the yummy piroulines that I posted about previously and there were none. When I asked an employee, the answer was "Oh Honey - Those went fast " and to check back as they may or may not get more in. I did stock up on several other items I needed such as various sizes of ziplock bags, foil, generic swiffer dusters, and generic cleaning erasers - needed more of the cloths, but again not available. I know a lot of things at DT are not top quality and not always a good buy, but some of them work for me, and a lot cheaper than other places. As said before, I rarely buy a food item there and will read the label first.

Oh My ! Another "quirk" popped up on trying to access blogger. When I click on "account settings", instead of it going to the accounts page to click on blogger, it immediately goes to the google accounts security page. Then I have to scroll down to the bottom and click on "visit the previous version of google accounts screen". Looks like it may get worse before it gets better. :(
I am aware that we will all be forced to deal with the new changes eventually, but I sure hope they re-think some of them.

Rain today and tomorrow - may be a good time to get caught up on a few things around the house - if I can get off this computer long enough.
Off to heat up some left over pizza, call it lunch, then get busy with some much needed house work.

What about you - Got any fun things planned for the weekend?
What ever you do - Have a great one!
Glenda

I don't think I could limit my list to 20 things. Your list sounds much like mine. Too bad DT was out of those yummy cookie sticks. You just might have to start going back on a weekly basis:-)
Hope to get out to a flea market tomorrow, I'm going through withdrawals.

I would have about a 100 things on my list :) I love reading other people's lists!
I love those cookie thingies ... so good!
It has been rainy here with more tomorrow :(
It is my birthday tomorrow so that is what I am doing for my weekend!
Have a wonderful one too!
Hugs,
Donna

Google is a pain in the patookus lately, isn't it! I wish they would stop the "improvements".

Some of your must haves are the same as mine...in fact most of them are.:-)

Glenda, I am not sure I could stop with 20 things. I think I am spoiled, really bad! I often think about how our ancestors had to live, and they made it, so I know I could too. We have had the nastiest weather. Really dreary days, and lots of rain! Our ground here is just mush! I am ready for some sunshine!

Google and Blogger are just going to drive us all nuts~ That is why I went with using this new linky followers! I've had issues with the darn widget updating for my follower list and who knows if it will ever be fixed! And who knows if GFC will go away for those of us still using Blogger?
I'm like you- I use some things from the $Tree and think they are just fine. Some stuff is NOT a bargain. You just have to know what works for you and is of acceptable quality.
Now go do some housework! LOL

You're #1 would certainly be mine too! Just wondering what wood markers are?

You are so smart, I need more scissors, never can find a pair. Richard from my Old Historic House.

I agree with everything on your list but like all the others I could probably come up with 100 others. Hope you have had a wonderful weekend. Mine was good just too short.
Blessings!

Good Morning Glenda Sweetie...
What a beautiful share today. I love this list of yours, and ironically I would have some of the same as well. Definitely my computer, and timers, yep I have quite a few of those. Sometimes I have several going at the same time with sticky notes for which thing it is connected to. LOL. Goo Gone is one of my favs as well. Thank you for sharing. What a fun list and write.

Well you saw what I did over the weekend. Picked lemons, and still have about 1/3 of the tree to go. They are so tasty and I do wish you lived closer. You would find a couple of bags on your front porch as well.

Have a glorious week sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Hi!

Your list sounds like mine - except the flashlight thing is my husband's domain. I don;t think I have ever known anyone else who has as many flashlights as he does. Flashlights - and an ever flowing number of rubberbands!

I have googone stuff in every room though! Without a doubt!

Haed over to my blog today www.studioofdecorativearts,blogspot.com

I am doing a Great Giveaway this week!)

I was thinking the same thing--so much to do outside, but I am waiting for warmer weather. It's sunny today, but cold. Glad it's not raining!!!

While my computer would certainly be at the top of my list, I think I'd have things like chocolate chip cookies...peanut butter...and so on-instead of scissors or night lights!

I'm having a computer issue too. I have googled and can't find the answer. My Windows Explorer keeps shutting down and then coming back up. I'm frustrated!

I would hate to have to narrow it down to 20 things, Glenda, but I bet all bloggers list the computer as one of them.

Your list is great! I'd be here for an hour to list all of the things I can't live without. But, I think if I had to pick one, it would be my Iphone!
